Throughout my time at the company as a UX Lead, the number of paying users has steadily grown. As a result, it increased from 3k to 13k. This is largely due to the fact that I was introducing new sections and functions to the platform, which I chose based on an analysis of the market and the needs of the target audience.
Since 2018, I began to conduct surveys and research aimed at identifying the needs and problems of interaction between users of the platform.
Over the past time, I have used different methods: Analysis of competitor platforms, as well as their statistics on the use of specific functionality, conducted surveys on the site, online meetings and webinars with clients, analysis of user behavior on specific potentially problematic or most important pages of the platform, heat maps, records visits (Yandex Metrika, Google Analytics).
The following methods proved to be especially good: A-B testing of different variants of new functionality, usability testing by use cases.
Thanks to the conclusions from the analysis (according to the methods above), the most useful functions were introduced, without which, according to users, it would not be possible to work effectively on the platform.
Let me list the most important functions by years:
2018: Automation of checking Homework. Diary of success and progress. Smart file storage with junk file cleanup.
2019: Individual, automatic customization of corporate identity. Course Store/Course Subscription. Mass settings for student and teacher accounts.
2020: Platform redesign. Gamification of learning. Finding and auto-blocking pirates.
2021: Mobile app (with Push). Platform of Webinars and Autowebinars. New types of lessons: Psychological tests (without correct answers), online meeting.
2022. Partner system for any product. Setting up integrations with CRM platforms.
